DFØ-app — register claims and remunerations on your phone

The app requires iOS 10.0 or a later version, or Android 6.0 or a later version. The app does not work on Windows Phone.

Log in

The first time you log in, you use ID-porten. You will be asked to set a four-digit passcode. You can use this passcode for three months, then you will need to log in using ID-porten again.

Please note that due to security reasons, you can only use the DFØ-app on one device at a time.

Change language to English

  • While on the main menu, tap the “Innstillinger” button.
  • Tap the “Språk i appen” button.
  • Select “Engelsk språk.”
  • You will need to renew your login. Tap “Til PIN-kode” to log in again.
  • If asked, select the employer where you are filing your claim.
  • Enter your PIN-code.
  • The language will now be set to English.

How to...

  • Your phone must support fingerprint authentication, and you must have enabled it on your phone before you can activate fingerprint authentication in the DFØ-app.

    1. Tap the Innstillinger (Settings) button.
    2. Tap the Aktiver fingeravtrykksautentisering (Activate fingerprint authentication) button.
    3. Tap the Fortsett (Continue) button.
    4. Log in with ID-porten
    5. Log in with your fingerprint to confirm that you will be using fingerprint authentication.
  • If you have commissions with more than one employer, you will need to log in to the relevant employer before you submit your reimbursement or remuneration claim.

    1. Tap the Logg ut (Log out) button.
    2. Select your employer from the list.
    3. Enter your PIN code.
  • If you have recently been granted access by a new employer, you will have to log out and log back in before the employer will appear in the app.

    1. Tap the Logg ut button.
    2. Tap the Har du glemt PIN-koden? (Have you forgotten your PIN code?) button
    3. Tap the Logg inn via ID-porten (Log in with ID-porten) button.
    4. Log in with ID-porten. A list of employers will appear, but you will not be able to select from the list. Instead, you will automatically be logged in to one of the listed employers.
    5. Tap the Logg ut (Log out) button.
    6. Select your desired employer from the list.
    7. Enter your PIN code.
    1. Tap the Utbetaling (Payments) button in the main menu. Payslips appear in the app two days before the payout date.
    2. Tap the payment you want to look at.
    3. Tap the download button while viewing the payslip if you want to save it to your mobile phone.
  • If your bank account number does not belong to a Norwegian bank, you will have to contact your employer in order to register your bank account.

    1. Tap the Mine opplysninger (User profile) button and Bank.
    2. Tap the Hovedbankforbindelse (Main bank account) button.
    3. Tap the Rediger (Edit) button.
    4. Select Kontonummer (Account number).
    5. Enter the new account number.
    6. Tap OK.
    7. Tap the Lagre (Save) button.

    If a payment is in process, the date shown will be the first day of the following month. This date indicates when the new bank account number will be in effect.

    You may change your bank account number at any time.

    You can add separate bank accounts for remunerations, and travel expenses and expense reimbursements.

    1. Tap the Mine opplysninger (User profile) button and Bank.
    2. Tap the + button to add a new account/account number.
    3. Tap the Reiseutgifter (Travel expenses) button.
    4. Select Kontonummer (Account Number).
    5. Enter the account number and tap OK.
    6. Tap the Lagre (Save) button.
  • The main bank account cannot be deleted.

    Contact your employer to delete the bank account used for the payment of travel expenses and expense reimbursements.

  • A red circle around the inbox icon indicates that you have tasks in your inbox.

    1. Tap the Innkurv (Inbox) button.
    2. Tap the task (travel expenses/expense reimbursement/remuneration) that appears in your inbox. The details of your claim will appear, as well as a message from your agency about why the claim has been returned to you.
    3. Tap OK once you have read the message.
    4. Make the necessary corrections.
    5. Tap the Save button to save a draft of your claim.
    6. Tap the Send button to resubmit your claim.
  • You can add, edit, and delete contact details under Mine opplysninger (User profile).

    Edit your address, e-mail address, and phone number:

    1. Tap the Mine opplysninger (User profile) button and then select adresse, e-post, or telefonnummer (address, e-mail address, or phone number).
    2. Tap the + to add a new address, e-mail address, or phone number.
    3. Select the entry you want to change, or tap Legg til nytt- (Add New-) to add a new entry.
    4. Enter the new address, e-mail address, or phone number.
    5. Tap the Lagre (Save) button.
    6. Edit an address, e-mail address, or phone number.

    Delete an address, e-mail address, and phone number:

    1. Tap the Mine opplysninger (User profile) button and then adresse, e-post, or telefonnummer (address, e-mail address, or phone number).
    2. Tap the address, e-mail address, or phone number you want to delete.
    3. Tap the rubbish bin icon.
    4. Tap OK on the confirmation message that appears.
    5. Your home address cannot be deleted.

Settings and tips

  • To enlarge the text, go to Innstillinger → Tekststørrelse (Settings → Font size). Select Stor størrelse (Large text).
  • If the DFØ-app is slow, you can try disabling Wi-Fi and using your mobile network (3G/4G) instead.
  • If you are having problems with the date picker, go to Innstillinger → Tidsvelger (Settings → Date picker) and select Tidshjul (Wheel-style picker).
  • In order to let you take photos of receipts and upload them to the DFØ-app, the app requires permission to access your images.
  • You need approximately 45 MB of storage space on an iPhone and approximately 12 MB on an Android phone.


If you encounter an error message, take a screenshot and describe what you were doing before the error occurred. Report the error to your employer, or contact us directly.

You can send emails directly to the DFØ customer service centre from the DFØ-app. Select Hjelp – Send inn en feil eller en tilbakemelding (Help – Report an error or provide feedback). If you do this, we also get system data that helps us resolve the problem.
